Case lot sale combine forces

Is anyone interested in "combining" shopping with the case lot sales going on in the next week or so? There are definitely some items I want to get at the lower prices, but I don't necessarily need a whole case (there are only 3 of us after all :) ) so if anyone is interested in "combining" shopping with me let me know ASAP!

Wesson Oil

Sisters, the sale at Albertson's this week has a 5 star deal on Wesson Oil in the 48 oz. size. The way the sale works is to buy $25 of products and receive a $10 voucher off your next order after you pay for your transaction. If you were to buy just oil, the final price on it would be $1.50 each. Check expiration dates on the bottles, but unopened oil will generally store in a cool dark place for a year. There are other items on the sale you can use to make up your $25. You don't have to just buy oil. See your ad, or call if you have questions.

I think the easiest way to realize your savings on a sale like this is to pay for your $25 of items, get your $10 voucher (catalina) and do a second transaction, using your catalina on the rest of your groceries that day. That way yours savings are sure, and don't go missing in your purse somewhere. Happy shopping.

Valassis pulling newspaper coupons!!!

If you don't have time to read through it all, the gist of it is that Valassis is pullling the RedPlum inserts out of the paper in certain markets, with Utah being one of those. Supposedly you can sign up to receive the inserts by mail, but there is some question as to whether the inserts are the same. Regardless, no more stocking up on papers when the coupons are great.

PYP is asking everyone to contact Valassis and the newspapers to see if we can get them to change their minds. Here's a link to PYP's "Don't cut my coupons!" page with sample letters, etc.

Sisters, the grocery smarts list did not include this deal, and I almost missed it. The coupon expires tomorrow.

Albertson's Sale

Hey Sisters, beware of the Albertson's sale this week. The wording on the add indicates that you get $10 back (this is a catalina) when you spend $25 or more. That means, if you are going to do more than one group of $25 items, you will want to split them into transactions so you can get the $10 back each time. Happy Shopping!

Make money off Budweiser

It's been awhile since I posted. Maybe you have heard about the Budweiser rebates? If not, you should! They can be found in the beer aisles and other places. I have one I got from a coworker that is for 10.00 off any 10.00 purchase of condiments, pizza, dressings, etc. I just asked for another one from the Albies butcher block and it is for 10.00 off any steak/seafood purchase. No, you don't have to buy any beer to use these. You just mail them in with your receipts. SUPER easy!
Plus, the cool deal is this morning I went to Albies and they had the nice JUMBO shrimps on sale for 21.98. Total ripoff, but my husband LOVES shrimp, so I try to watch for whenever it's on sale. I had heard about the budweiser rebate, plus I noticed Albies had them on sale B1G1 free....so I got 2 big packs for 21.98. Plus, I'm using this for the rebate, bringing my total down to 11.98, plus I had a 4.00 off coupon any meat purchase, making it 7.98 for TWO HUGE bags of SHRIMP!

Also, in case you "stock up" on newspapers when they have good coupons, this is a great week. I just went and bought 8 "preview" papers at Harmons this morning. They have 1.00 off cereal and 1.50 off cereal coupons, A MUST in our house!

Maybe some of you have caught a glimpse of this shop, located on the north side of Target at Jordan Landing. My sister turned me on to this clothing store and I was instantly intrigued when she told me that everything inside is $5.99 or less. Stopped by today and got a dress for $5.99 and a T-shirt for $5! They seem to have a little bit of everything; men and boys, kids and teens, misses and plus, etc.

Discovery Gateway

Hello ladies! There is a coupon in Friday's paper in the LifeEtc. section for 2-for-1 admission to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. Coupon is valid until July 31. Admission is $8.50 per person; free for children under 1.

Harmon's Deals

While at Harmon's today, I found some great deals that I don't think were advertised. So, select varieties of Harmon's brand ice cream for $1, Ranch style bread $1 a loaf, and frozen potstickers, a 16 oz. bag $1 (they were in an end freezer). Happy shopping!

When I went to the Smiths (4100 Redwood ish) on Saturday morning, they were having a mega meat sale, I got something like 15 steaks for less than 15.00. WAHOO for summer barbequing!

Walgreens Register Rewards

The Walgreens on 47th and Redwood has lots of Rightguard deoderant good for the Register Rewards. There is a $1 coupon in the Apr 19 Smart Source coupon section. Some of the deoderant already has 55 cent coupons on them if you don't take the newspaper.

There was not any of the Colgate Toothpaste on the shelf.

Swagbucks

This is a very cool Web site I joined a few weeks ago. It basically functions as a search engine but you earn "bucks" as you go. Once you get enough bucks, then you can get prizes. I'm aiming for Amazon gift cards. The more people you sign up "underneath you" the more bucks you can earn.

Tulle Womens clothing sale

Family Dollar Deals

Family Dollar takes coupons. They have a size of Colgate toothpaste that is always $1, so you can use the coupon for .75/any Colgate and it makes them .25. They also have Johnson and Johnson bandaids for $1.10. You can use the $1/any bandaids and get them for .10.

Also a heads-up at Albertson's the Land o Lakes spread that is on 4/$5 has a catalina, .50 back when you buy two. Have a great day!

Dog food coupons

I have all the dog food coupons from this last week's insert that I will not be using. Does anyone want them? Strawberries

Just got back from Ream's on 4700 S. and they had strawberries .99 for 1-lb. Not sure if today is the last day for this price or not, as it was not listed in their ad. It may not be the very best price we'll see this season, but good enough that we're having strawberry pie for dessert tonight. Yum!!

Re-stocked

Albertson's had the peanut butter in today :). I was able to get 10 jars (we love this stuff) and 5 cans of Manwich sauce. With my coupons and the catalinas from last time, my total was $6, and they handed me another $10 in catalinas. Gotta love it!

Albertson's sale

I've been to Albertsons (Redwood and 4700 s). They were low on the Peter Pan peanut butter. I'm going to check on it again tomorrow, I went at a busy time, so I didn't take time to ask the groc. manager if they had some in the back. Also low on Rosarita refried beans. Plenty of the vegetarian variety, which is what I bought, after reading the label and finding the only difference to be lard vs. veg. oil :). I filled my basket, paid $58 and have $14 in Catalinas to use if they get my peanut butter . There are lots of promotions going on. Call me if you have questions. Happy shopping!
